Identity
Jimmy's first album, "Identity" began his quest to stretch the harmonious barriers of melodies, rhythms and vibrations setting a course for the new sound of modern jazz.
Review on Amazon:
Surprising from the first note, this cd keeps on revealing discovery with each track. Having met Jimmy on several occasions, I found nothing in his demeanor that would hint at the talent below the surface. Unassuming and low key regarding his own works, most of his discussion centered around other musicians. Only in retrospect does this writer see that those qualities abound in his first solo cd effort, 'Identity'. The compositions allow plenty of room for his guest musicians to explore their own identity. This generosity of spirit does not however limit Jimmy's ability to communicate with power, his heart and soul within the confines of each well structured musical statement.

Future History
Jimmy's next album, "Future History" is a listening tutorial of world sounds; surrounding the listener with powerful sensations and unexpected lessons from Wilson's travels in jazz's new dimensions.
Review: By W. Dent "Life Lover" (Baltimore, MD)
Ever get a cd that you just wanted to play for everyone you know? A cd that you placed into the "you gotta hear this" category. "Future History" is one of those! Complex yet accessible. The trumpet is a paint brush in the hands of Jimmy Wilson. Future History is a painting. Each solo is a composition within a composition, never there for its' own sake but for the contribution it makes to the bigger picture, adding a dimension and emotional depth not present moments before.

Bright Light From A Single Spark
The third album in Wilson's musical triptych, "Bright Light from a Single Spark" focuses on blending a wordly range of natural signs and rhythms and opening up a new path of modern jazz expression. Like the other two albums, Bright Light was produced entirely on Wilson's own label, Replicant Records, allowing him the total control over the music and concepts to put together such engaging and listenable artistic expressions.
